Maria V. Merritt L.S.W., A.C.S.W. is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Hypnotherapist. She completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wayne State University and her undergraduate degree in Gerontology. She has over 30 years of experience working with teens, adults, couples, families, and individuals using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client. She has a broad range of clinical experience in a variety of settings including outpatient programs, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, and inpatient.
Her area of expertise includes anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family/relationship issues and personal growth. She provides a safe environment for those struggling with trauma, and/or PTSD. She proves guidance for those struggling with challenges and difficult decisions.
