Desaray is a limited license social worker at Shorepointe Counseling. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Ferris State University, she has gained foundational knowledge and practical experience working with The Department of Health and Human Services and the Children, Youth, and Family Department. In these roles, Desaray provided crucial support to children, teens, and parents affected by abuse and neglect.

Continuing her professional development, Desaray earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boise State University, specializing in the empowerment and healing of women and children that have experienced trauma. Her diverse work experience includes providing therapeutic support and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, leading empowerment groups, casework for children and teens in foster care, offering parenting skills and support, and assisting older adults as they transition to senior living.

Desaray’s mission is to offer holistic support within a safe and non-judgmental environment, helping clients to openly explore their challenges and work towards achieving their mental health goals. She is deeply committed to empowering clients on their paths to self-discovery and resilience, utilizing evidence-based practices.
